Gutter Guard Installation – Surrey Park Trail, Duluth GA
Duluth, GA
Description
Urban Seamless Gutters ATL installed 235 feet of 6-inch K-Style gutters in a clay finish, custom-formed on-site from .032-gauge aluminum for a high-capacity, low-maintenance system. The project included 6 large 3×4 downspouts, 9 precision miter and roof cuts, and tailored splash blocks to ensure optimal drainage. A matching 235-foot High Flow Helmet guard system, constructed from .024 aluminum alloy, was installed for superior protection against clogging.
The Challenge
This property in Duluth required a full-scale upgrade to a more efficient and durable gutter system. One particular challenge was managing the water volume from large roof sections, especially where angles met at corners and valleys. The existing setup lacked proper drainage design, which contributed to overflow issues and soil displacement near the foundation. Ensuring both capacity and directional flow through sharp roof transitions without compromising curb appeal was critical to delivering a long-term solution.
Our Solution
To solve the drainage issue, we installed 6-inch K-Style gutters made from thick .032-gauge aluminum, maximizing flow capacity. Strategic placement of 3×4 downspouts helped manage high water volume from steep roof slopes. We implemented custom miter cuts and roof cuts at key junctions, ensuring water was directed away from problem areas without pooling or erosion. The High Flow Helmet guard system was added to all 235 feet of gutter, preventing debris buildup while allowing rainwater to flow freely. The result was a seamless, efficient system that protects the home’s foundation and enhances exterior aesthetics.
