Description
Urban Seamless Gutters ATL installed 14 feet of 5-inch K-style gutters and 20 white 3×4 downspouts on a backyard shed at Lanier Parker’s home in Decatur, GA. Prior to our service, the shed had no gutter system—causing roof runoff to flood surrounding landscaping, splash dirt onto the siding, and erode mulch beds. To correct this, we custom-formed the gutters on-site using heavy-duty .032-gauge aluminum in white, with a classic K-style profile. We also installed six A-style elbows to direct water precisely from the gutters into the new downspouts, helping channel rainwater away from the foundation and delicate planting areas.
The Challenge
Without gutters, water poured off the shed’s roof during rainstorms, saturating garden beds and causing standing water along the base of the structure. The most affected area was the right corner, where repeated washout was beginning to displace mulch and expose plant roots.
Our Solution
Our team installed a seamless K-style gutter along the front roofline and extended it down the right-hand side of the shed. Two downspout runs—each with white 3×4 aluminum downspouts and A-style elbows—were strategically placed to guide water away from problem areas. The final configuration, as shown in the marked image, ensures water is diverted into low-impact drainage paths while preserving the shed’s clean look and surrounding landscape.
