Description
Urban Seamless Gutters ATL completed a full gutter system upgrade for a one-story home in Jonesboro, GA, including the installation of 90 feet of 6-inch K-style gutters and 75 feet of 3×4 downspouts. The home’s previous gutters were outdated and unable to handle Georgia’s heavy rainfalls, leading to pooling and splashback near the foundation. The new system was built from .032-gauge aluminum in a subtle linen finish to match the home’s trim. We added 21 A-style elbows, 2 offset elbows, and 1 B-style elbow to work around corners and elevation shifts. The project also included 7 custom miter cuts, roof cuts, and splash blocks for a smooth, watertight finish.
The Challenge
Tiani’s existing gutters frequently overflowed during moderate to heavy rain, leaving water marks on siding and oversaturated mulch beds near the front entry. The previous downspout setup lacked volume and directional control, which meant water was draining too close to the home’s foundation and landscaping.
Our Solution
To resolve the overflow and redirect water safely away from the home, we installed a high-capacity 6-inch K-style gutter system, which offers improved flow over traditional 5-inch options. We paired the gutters with oversized 3×4 aluminum downspouts, ensuring water could exit the system faster and with less risk of clogging. Strategic placement of A-style and offset elbows helped maintain a clean, low-profile appearance while achieving precise flow paths. We also crafted custom miter and roof cuts to integrate seamlessly into the home’s architecture, and added splash blocks at all exits to prevent erosion.
