19 ft of New White 6-Inch Gutter and Four Box Miters Across the Front – Alpharetta
Alpharetta, GA
Description
Urban Seamless Gutters ATL extended the gutters across the front of a home in Alpharetta, GA, where a stretch of roofline had no gutter at all. We formed 19 feet of new 6-inch K-style gutter on site in white, built box miters at the four outside corners to tie it into the existing gutter, added 10 feet of new 3×4 downspout, and cleaned the rest of the system.
The Challenge
Part of the front roofline had no gutter, so rain coming off that section fell straight off the roof edge at the front of the house instead of being carried to a downspout. The gutter on either side stopped at open returns beside the gap, and the four outside corners along the front needed miters to join everything into one run.
Our Solution
We formed 19 feet of 6-inch K-style gutter on site from heavy-duty .032-gauge aluminum in white and hung it across the open stretch. Box miters at the four outside corners close in the existing returns, so the new and old gutter work as one system, and 10 feet of new 3×4 downspout with A and B elbows carries the water down to the ground. While we were up there, we cleaned all 185 feet of gutter by hand and with light air, checked the pitch, re-secured loose sections, resealed the end caps, miters and outlets with GeoCel gutter silicone, and hauled the debris away.
