17 ft of Eggshell 6-Inch Gutter and a Helmet Guard Over the Rear Stairs – Alpharetta
Alpharetta, GA
Description
Urban Seamless Gutters ATL installed a new gutter over the rear stairs of a home in Alpharetta, GA. We formed 17 feet of 6-inch K-style gutter on site from heavy-duty .032-gauge aluminum in eggshell, capped it with a High Flow Helmet gutter guard, and ran 30 feet of new 3×4 downspout in eggshell down the left side.
The Challenge
The roof edge over the back stairs needed a gutter. Rain coming off that slope lands right where people walk up and down, and the water had to be carried well away from the stairs, which takes a long downspout with a few turns.
Our Solution
We formed 17 feet of 6-inch K-style gutter on site in eggshell and hung it over the stairs, then fitted a High Flow Helmet guard along its length. The guard is .024-gauge aluminum with a diamond pattern of 3/16-inch holes, so water drops through while leaves stay on top. From the outlet, 30 feet of 3×4 downspout runs down the left side, with A, B and offset elbows to follow the wall and carry the water clear of the stairs.
